What to expect on your first visit to Port Center for Vitality

We are pleased and honored that you have chosen our office.  For many, their first visit to our office will be a unique experience.  We think that’s a good thing, but we also realize that sometimes the unfamiliar can be confusing.  So, we’ll begin by giving you a idea of what we’ll be accomplishing together on this first visit.

1. You’ll be greeted by a smiling face.  People often ask us why everyone seems so happy around here.  Stick around … you’ll see.

2. You may fill out some brief forms, or download them from the links above, fill them out, and bring them along to save some time. The information we request may be different than you’re used to providing to other doctors.  That’s because we are different!  We ask questions that help us get to the cause of your health concerns, rather than masking them with drugs.

3. You’ll meet with Dr. Blum.  The doctor will talk with you briefly about the information you provided to learn how we can best serve you in meeting your personal health and wellness goals.  Then he will perform a series of tests to help him better understand how your body and nervous system are functioning.  All the tests done in our office are completely painless and safe.

• Surface EMG.   This test measures the branch of your nervous system that controls your muscles.
• Thermal Scan.  This test measures the branch of your nervous system that controls your organs and glands.
• Posture Pro.  A computerized analysis of your posture.
• Hands-on Tests.  These tests may include palpation of your spine and muscles, leg length analysis and others to give us a complete view of your overall health at this point.
